The study aimed at the items as follows: (1) To understand the current status of emotional intelligence, job stress and job satisfaction of junior high school full-time teacher-counselors. (2) To explore the comparison of differences among emotional intelligence, job stress and job satisfaction of junior high school full-time teacher-counselors with different background variables. (3) To analyze the correlations of emotional intelligence, job stress and job satisfaction of junior high school full-time teacher-counselors. (4) To explore the predictability of emotional intelligence and job stress toward job satisfaction. A questionnaire survey was applied to the public junior high school full-time teacher-counselors in Taiwan. The valid samples were 407 questionnaires in total. The data were analyzed by applying descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The main findings are shown as followed: 1. The level of junior high school full-time teacher-counselors’ emotional intelligence is above average; the level of junior high school full-time teacher-counselors’ job stress is below average; the level of junior high school full-time teacher-counselors’ job satisfaction is above average. 2. There were differences on the emotional intelligence in junior high school full-time teacher-counselors with different seniority, school zone. 3. There were differences on the job stress in junior high school full-time teacher-counselors with different gender, married status, educational level, school zone. 4. There were differences on the job satisfaction in junior high school full-time teacher-counselors with different gender, married status, educational background, school zone. 5. The emotional intelligence of junior high school full-time teacher-counselors is negatively related to their job stress. 6. The emotional intelligence of junior high school full-time teacher-counselors is positively related to their job satisfaction. 7. The job stress of junior high school full-time teacher-counselors is negatively related to their job satisfaction. 8. Emotional intelligence and job stress can predict effectively job satisfaction. Finally, based on the findings, suggestions for junior high school full-time teacher-counselors, junior high schools, departments of education administration and future research are provided. 吳松林 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 177 zh-TW
