Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 體育學系 === 102 === The Study of Elder Exercise Instructors' Professional Competency and Reflection Graduate: Chi, Tai-Chu Advisor: Dr. Cheng, Han-Wu Abstract This study was to explore the situations about elder exercise instructors' professional competency and reflection. According to the literature analysis, professional capabilities can be divided into professional knowledge, professional skills, and professional attitude. The contents, the levels, the types of the reflection of elder instructor, and the factors in influencing the reflection are to be explored and discussed. This study used a qualitative research method, mainly in semi-structured interviews. From July to August in 2013, ten elderly exercise instructors at two elderly institutions in Kaohsiung are invited as participants of the study. The interviews with the information content analysis and through the checklist and summarized, the study brought up five aspects of conclusion: (1) In this study, the elder exercise instructors' professional competency was lacking in the part of professional knowledge but both provided with professional skills and professional attitudes. It was shown that most of the elder exercise instructors have insufficient professional knowledge. (2) In this study, the elder exercise instructors' reflection contents include instructors themselves, members, teaching, environment, and others. The results in this study are same as others in many researches. (3) In this study, the elder exercise instructors' reflection levels are mainly related to technological level, secondly was practical reflection, next was critical reflection, and the last was descriptive reflection. It was shown that the elder exercise instructors mostly focus on required techniques of the established goals. (4) In this study, the elder exercise instructors' reflection types are mainly related to reflection of actions. It was shown that the elder exercise instructors mostly perform immediate reflection. (5) In this study, the factors that affect the elder exercise instructors' reflections are divided into two kinds: instructors themselves and external environment, same as some other researches.
