Abstract
The effect of Print-referencing strategy on the performance about print awareness for preschoolers with hearing loss were evaluated in this study.The Print-referencing strategy include questions about print, comments about print, requests about print, pointing to print and tracking print.The single-subject, multiple probe across subjects approach wasadopted.The three subjects were preschoolers.The experiment teaching lasted for nine weeks.
The results of this study were as follow:
1. The Print-referencing strategy facilitated the effect of print awareness for preschoolers with hearing loss in treatment phase of the study.
2. The Print-referencing strategy facilitated the effect of print awareness for preschoolers with hearing loss in the maintenance phase of the study.
According to the results of this study, some recommendations for teaching and further studies were made.
