And Also was the most trading volume of the marine ornamental fish. Most of them were captured from wild so that one day the resources will be depleted. Taiwan is suitable for the development of ornamental fish production combined with tourism industry. On the other hand, that will conserve the ocean resource. Therefore, artificial propagation and seed production technology development in anemone fish can supply the market demand. For the seedling production the most important is food organisms wich include microalgae, rotifer and Artemia. In particular, the Artemia of the price fluctuations can reach 700%. So the feed factory research microdiets to replace Artemia. In this study, choose two different commercial microdiets fed the larvae of black clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris var.) and compared with enriched Artemia. The experiment consisted of four treatments, a live feed control treatment from rotifer to Artemia end of post weaned diets (group A), a 50% Artemia replacement treatment with INVE microdiets (particle size: 200-300 µm) from, from rotifer to 50% Artemia with microdiets end of post weaned diets (group B), a 100% Artemia replacement treatment with INVE microdiets from rotifer to microdiets end of post weaned diets (group C), a 100% Artemia replacement treatment with Otohime microdiets from rotifer to microdiets end of post weaned diets (group C). All treatment were run in triplicate. Growth performances, (standard length, body depth, wet weight, gape height and eye diameter) and survival were measured in the trial. The results of the experiment indicated in growth performance in groups A and B: standard length (12.03mm and 11.01mm respectively), body depth (4.37 mm and 4.40 mm respectively), wet weight (31.75 mg and 29.04 mg respectively), gape height (1324μm and 1313μm), eye diameter (1137μm and 1010μm) and survival (66.67% and 60.47% respectively). Survival was significantly higher in groups A and B than group C (39.05%). In this study 100% Artemia replacement with microdiets reduced growth potential and survival. According to the results, suggesting that 50% Artemia replacement with microdiets can reach the same survival and growth performance. The reduced of using Artemia will lower costs.
