Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 社會發展學系碩士班 === 102 === The purpose of this study was to understand the status of teachers’ emotional labor and job burnout in Kaohsiung elementary schools, compare the differences of teachers’ emotional labor and job burnout with different background variables, and explore the related situations as well as teachers’ emotional labor and job burnout. The research took teachers in the elementary schools of Kaohsiung City in 2013 as subjects. The research used self-made “questionnaires of teachers’ emotional labor and job burnout” as research tool to take samples from 28 schools by stratified cluster sampling. There were 556 effective questionnaires returned. Finally, all the received data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, multiple stepwise regression analysis etc.. The conclusions were as follows: 1. The status of teachers’ emotional labor in elementary schools were all above average. Among the five dimensions of emotional labor, “regulations of emotional displays” was predominated. The followings were “deep acting”, “variety of emotional displays”, “surfacing acting” and “genuine acting” . 2. The status of job burnout for elementary schools teachers were close to the average. Among the three dimensions, the “emotional exhaustion” was predominated; the followings were “reduced personal accomplishment” and “depersonalization”. 3. Lower teachers’ social status, students’ behavior problems and the burden from more and more evaluations are the main reasons for the elementary schools teachers in Kaohsiung City to be job burnout. 4. Releasing in the leisure time, adjusting the thinking process and enjoying the work are the main methods to resolve the job burnout for the elementary schools teachers in Kaohsiung City. 5. The male teachers, the age from 41 to 50 years old and being the directors were more aware of the teachers’ emotional labor. 6. The teachers’ age from 41 to 50 years old, the teaching seniority from 11 to 20 years and the large-scale schools more perceptive to the job burnout. 7. The elementary schools teachers in Kaohsiung City were more aware of emotional labor and the less they perceptive of job burnout. Especially the relation between “genuine acting” and “depersonalization” was the most significant. 8. Elementary schools teachers’ genuine acting of emotional labor could effectively predict the depersonalization of job burnout.. Based on the research conclusions, the researcher provided some specific suggestions to the educational authorities, elementary schools, teachers and future researchers for references.
