The 2014 Paris Grand Slam men's Judo Competition as the research sample. The subjects are the first weight division to seventh weight division of the men’s competition. The study investigates and quantifies on: 1. the gripping position, 2. score level, 3. score time, 4. techniques, and 5. penalty calls. The main gripping position has moved back to “Front griping” after the revision of the rules and less on “Top griping”. The score level has been mainly concentrated on “Ippon” follow by “Yuko”. The score time is mainly on the second and the forth minute. There is less attacks made on the third minute. “Sutemi-waza” has the highest chance to score follow by “Tachi-waza”. Non-compatibility or passivity is the main penalty calls during the competition. This study recommends coaches and competititors to focus on strength training in order to improve gripping controls. The throwing technique should focus on “Sutemi-waza” and improve the tactical tactics. The results presented by this study hope to enhance the characteristics of Judo competition and present a winning strategy. This will provide training and tactical application to coaches and competititors.
