Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 機械工程系所 === 102 === A new alloy has been designed for Golf-Head material possessed well corrosion resistance, high elongation, and lower density ρ=7.5±0.05 g/cm3. In addition, the mechanical properties and microstructures have also been investigated. Base on the present studied, the density, UTS, YS and EL of the Fe-18Cr-10Mn-4Ni-3Si low carbon alloy are in range between 7.48~7.53 g/cm3, 850~1000MPa, 420~600MPa, and 46.3~54.7%, respectively. During the 450~540℃/4 hours aging processes, the mechanical properties of the alloy are significantly decreased. According to SEM and TEM examined, the microstructure of the present alloy is a (α+γ) duplex phase during heated at 950~1050℃ for 15~240 min., and the ratio of α and γ phase is 37.6:62.4. Been heated at 1000℃/1 hour and then aged at 450~850℃/1~16 hours, some α phase precipitates within γ-phase matrix. And M23C6 carbides are formed within γ-phase matrix and some σ phase are formed within α-phase matrix and/or on α/γ boundaries. The occurrence temperature of α precipitate, M23C6 carbides and σ phase is in range of 450~650℃, 450~850℃ and 650~850℃, respectively. The optimum heat-treatment of the alloy is 1000℃/1 hour without any aging processes. Additionally, the combination of UTS and EL of the present designed alloy is better than the all commercial Iron Golf-Head.
