Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北護理健康大學 === 護理研究所 === 102 === The aim of this study was to examine the health self-efficacy, health promotion behavior of the older adults interactively effected on health function. The cross-sectional correlation method was applied and the data was collected by structured questionnaires which included individual characteristics; scale of chronic diseases and health problems, scale of health self-efficacy, and scale of health promoting lifestyle profile (HPLP), an health function scale (SF-36). The convenience sample of the older adults of the medicine department was recruited form one of northern Taiwan Local Hospitals. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, difference, correlation analysis and hierarchical multiple regression. In this study, there were 90 older adults in total, male patients were 43 (47.78%), and female patients were 47 (52.22%). The average age of the sample was 68.33 year old(SD=6.84), 71.11% were married and 52.22% were employed. 75.56% of the older adults suffered from above two chronic diseases(M=2.68, SD=1.61) . The most chronic diseases were hypertension(42.22%),catarect (33.33%)、arthroritis or gout(32.22%)。 The positive correlation between health promotion behavior and health self- efficacy(r= .58、p<.001) indicated the more positive health promotion behaved patients were empowered with more positive health self- efficacy. The positive correlation between health function and health promotion behavior (r= .58、p<.001) indicated the more positive health promotion behaved patients were empowered with more positive health function. The positive correlation between health function and health self- efficacy (r= .62、p<.001) indicated the more positive health self- efficacy patients were empowered with more positive health function. The hierarchical regression was three steps applied to analyze how individual characteristics in disguise (such as age, education degree, work and economy status), health status (such as chronic diseases, health problems, chronic and health problems impact on life), health self-efficacy, and health promotion behavior interactively effected on health function. The result indicated the above mentioned variations can effectively explain the variance of 69%(F(9,80)=23.37, p<.001) of the health function. The key variables affected the health function were such as chronic diseases and health problems impact on life, work, health self-efficacy, health promotion behavior. The most influential variable was health self-efficacy and health promotion behavior. The results indicated the effectiveness of health self-efficacy and health promotion behavior can reduce the negative impacts of work, and chronic diseases and health problems impact on the health function. In conclusion, the important factors to improve positive health function were to increase health self-efficacy and health promotion behavior.
