Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 區域與社會發展學系碩士班 === 102 === The purpose of this study is to explore by means of the design of social studies teaching for the 6th graders of elementary school, co-teaching course of teacher librarians, students’ information capacity, learning achievement of professional knowledge of social studies, and the experience and reaction of learning course that teachers and students participated in based on the Standards for the 21st-Century Learner. This study is on the basis of action research, 23 students of the 6th grade of TaTa Elementary school in Taichung City, and their social studies teachers and teacher librarians are being as studying subjects. By using some research tools such as “Test of multi-culture of social studies ”, “Test of information capacity ”, “Standard list of assessment test”, “Learning sheets”, “Questionnaire of self-cognition from students learning”, “interview outline”, sample testing, average and percentage as statistical method, and qualitative analysis, so as to know the efficiency of this research. This study has the following findings: 1. If the teaching is designed on “Standards for the 21st-Century Learner”, and the co-teaching of Teacher librarian and social studies are arranged to teach at the same time period, they can work smoothly and efficiently. 2. After having co-teaching, the children’s information capacity is higher. 3. After having co-teaching, the students’ records of social studies are 69.78, but the students generally think they learn more from this teaching. 4. After learning for one semester, the students generally think co-teaching can promote their learning ability. 5. The two teachers recognized this co-teaching course and thought that this is helpful for establishing a closer relationship between teachers and students. But the skill of evaluation and abstract of students’ information capacity still needs time to culture and practice. According to the above research results, this study presents 7 items of suggestions for reference in future research.
