During the clinical practice, occupational therapists mostly rely on clinical sense and experience to adjust the number of turns. In view of this, we are looking to get research information from the tolerable input of rotary vestibular stimulation, which will also help occupational therapist to have a standard in the future clinical treatment. This research is primarily focus on the performance caused by the acceptable input of rotary vestibular stimulation and the effect by different input value the rotary vestibular stimulation for preschoolers. Method:The target population of this purposive research was from three public or private kindergarteners at Tai-Chung. There were total of 120 kindergarteners and performing four different tasks by rotating clockwise, rotating counter-clockwise, passive clockwise, and passive counter-clockwise at four different times. Age range of participants were from 46 to 79 months (M = 62.1, SD = 9.60).Data analyses were used by descriptive statistics, independent sample of t test, one way ANOVA, and dependent sample of two-way ANOVA analysis. Results:The data collected from this research concluded as follows: 1. The average number of the active clockwise rotation performed by preschoolers is 10.28, and number of the passive clockwise rotation is 23.04. The average number of the active clockwise rotation performed by boys is 11.67, and by girls is 8.83. The average number of the passive clockwise rotation performed by boys is 28.84, and by girls is 17.04. The average number of the active clockwise rotation performed by kindergarteners is 14.05, by pre-kindergarteners is 8.50, and by preschoolers is 6.60. The average number of the passive clockwise rotation performed by kindergarteners is 36, by pre-kindergarteners is 17.55, and by preschoolers is 9.65.2. The significant factors which may influence on the rotary numbers were gender and grade. The rotating time was influenced by factor grad. There were no gender differences in time and speed, and there was no effect on rotating speed by grade. Conclusion:This information of evident based data on rotary vestibular stimulation for preschooers was used to provide a standard for the occupational therapist during the clinical practice.
