Researchers start to think about the corresponding methods. This research carries out teaching of creativity in visual arts curriculum through designing teaching programs of creativity, allowing students to go through different learning experiences to increase their creativity. Through the verification and reflection of theory and practice, it explores the process of teaching programs of creativity advancing children’s creativity. This research takes the approach of action research, collecting related references of creativity to make an analysis and induction. It analyzes the resources of Sunshine Elementary School in Miaoli County as a foundation and takes one class of the sixth grade as research object to design a teaching programs of creativity. The 8 weeks, 16 classes teaching programs of creativity in visual arts is put to practice in order to understand students’ learning condition of visual arts curriculum and adjusting process. Researchers gather the references of observation records of the classes, teaching reflection notes, feedback forms of team teaching staffs, videos, interviews and students’ works to go through the qualitative analysis and discussion, explaining research problems, implementation difficulties and coping strategies. Four conclusions are drawn from this research: 1. Teaching programs of creativity in visual arts design needs to combine with the life experiences of students. 2. Teaching programs of creativity in visual arts design helps to improve students’ creativity. 3. Implementing teaching of creativity contributes to teachers’ growth and change of research. 4. The effect of teaching of creativity reflects on teachers’ teaching methods and assessments. We learn from the conclusions that using teaching programs of creativity in visual arts curriculum in elementary schools is beneficial to improve students’ creativity, which can be the reference of related researches about the education of creativity in the future.
