Prior to the self-recognition, one should understand his/her own role and given mission among all other things. IT should, as the role of a staff member, bear the responsibility to provide the strategic target and, as the role of a sailor, maintain the enterprise, as an aircraft carrier, in a good condition. To identify and avoid the problem in advance, IT should cooperate with other divisions of the enterprise smoothly in order to find the best route hidden in the mist and even predict the future trend. However, most IT managers prefer to do jobs as few as possible in order to avoid potential mistakes. Restricted by the cost-down orientation, they are even satisfied with a minimum level of performance without any motivation to negotiate or improve the current process. In addition, they can only focus on solving the in-coming issues without any long-term plan or quantified evidence supporting his/her own viewpoint. In this regard, they will think everything in the way like "if I can know it earlier" or "it must be rejected by the boss." Is there any alternative approach or creative perspective to develop customized solution for each scenario?
