Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育學系課程與教學碩博士班 === 102 === The purpose of the study was to explore the relationship between perceptions of parenting styles and classroom incivility, also to explore different background variables of elementary school students. The subjects of this study were the fourth and the sixth graders, analyzed through questionnaire method, using Parenting Styles Scale and Classroom Incivility Scale as research tools. In the 632 questionnaires issued, 613 valid questionnaires were returned. They were all statistically analyzed by various methods like Means, Standard Deviation, Independent-Sample T Test, One-way Analysis of Variance (one way ANOVA) and Multiple Stepwise Regression. The conclusions of the study were followed: 1.The “Response” and “Demand” of perceived parenting styles in elementary school students were both above the average, with “Demand” higher than “Response”. 2.“The Authoritative Type” is the most common perceived parenting style in elementary school parents. 3.The awareness frequency of classroom incivility is relatively low in elementary schools students. 4.The acceptance of classroom incivility is relatively low in elementary schools students. 5.There were no significant differences found for perceptions of parenting styles in terms of different gender and grade of elementary students. 6.There were significant differences found for perceptions of parenting styles in terms of different number of siblings and birth order. 7.Students with different perceptions of parenting styles showed significant differences in classroom incivility. 8.Different perceptions of parenting styles had significant predictability on classroom incivility. Finally, present conclusion and suggestions according to the study results, to serve as a reference for teachers, parents and future studies.
