To realize the status of the willingness of elementary school teachers to take on the administrative positions in Tainan. 2. To explore the difference in the willingness to take on the administrative positions among elementary school teachers with individual backgrounds( gender, age, marital status, educational attainment, seniority, postion, and school size) in Tainan. 3. To explore the relations among the willingness and influential factors of elementary school teachers to take on the administrative positions. 4. To explore the relation between the implementation of the taxation system and the willingness of elementary school teachers to take on the administrative positions. In oder to achieve the aims above. The study applies questionnaire methods.The study applies stratified cluster sampling, sampling teachers from 51 Tainan municipal elementary schools to conduct the questionnaires. A total of 710 questionnaires are given. 631 ones are returned and the return rate is 89%. The valid ones are 624 copies and the valid return rate is 99%. The data are analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis, t test analysis, and one-way analysis of variance etc. process data deal with SPSS 17. Conclude the main findings and the research results are as follows: 1. The willingness of elementary school teachers in Tainan to take on the administrative positions is low now. 2. Different gender, age, educational attainment and position of elementary school teachers in Tainan have significant differences on the willingness to take on the administrative positions. Male teachers, teachers under 29 years old, teachers with master degree, and directors are more willing to take on the administrative positions. However, different marital status, seniority and school size of elementary school teachers in Tainan have no significant differences on the willingness to take on the administrative positions. 3. The most influential factor of the willingness of elementary school teachers in Tainan to take on the administrative positions is organizational identity. The second one is personal workplace factor. 4. The taxation system is not one of the most influential factors of the willingness of elementary school teachers in Tainan to take on the administrative positions. At last, according to the research results, the study proposes suggestions for education the administrative authorities, schools and further research.
