The research worker chose a senior teacher as the study target and tried to understand the teacher’s life story deeply by the way of interview and narration with qualitative research. After the research, the conclusions were as the following: 1. The career development for the case teacher comprised three stages: The three stages were “Adapting and Exploring Stage”, “Learning and Growing Stage”, “Profession and Maturity Stage”. But the other two stages “Stable Stagnation Stage” and “Setback and Decline Stage” were short. 2. The career development for the case teacher was affected by the original family, study experiences, working experiences, marriage condition, key incident, and the important others. 3. The related factors of affecting case teacher’s career development included personal environment, organization environment, etc. Personal environment included individual personality, original family life, teaching profession and belief and the experience of children breeding and education; the organization environment included education belief, teaching profession and passion, school administration, and school atmosphere, etc. 4. The excellent teaching came from the teacher’s good discipline. 5. The response and recovery from the setback were the key points to deciding the career’s development. 6. The teacher’s life philosophy and value led to the positive teaching concept. I offer some suggestion for references according to the outcome of the study.
