Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 應用數學系數學科教學碩士班 === 102 === The purpose of the study is to explore the process and efficacy of the first grade students early using the fill-in blank method to deal with five types of addition and subtraction word problems within 10. The researcher designed mathematics curriculum ,addition and subtraction, and tested with the most suitable 5 types such as combine type, change-adding type, change-taking away type, compare-more type and compare-less type for the first grade students. This study is an experimental approach. The researcher proposed experimental plan and designed teaching activities.The experimental group is the class taught by the researcher and the control group is randomly selected from other first grade classes. Based on the performances of pre-class, after-class learning sheets, post-test, delayed post-test and interviews, the researcher conducted data analysis. Conclusions are as follows: 1. Solving addition and subtraction word problems within 10 by the fill-in blank method does improve the students’ performances. 2. The students of the experimental group have significant effects than the control ones. 3. After experimental teaching, the students have reserved effects.
