博士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 音樂學系 === 102 === The present dissertation bases its theoretical grounds on musicology, linguistics, and literature. The researcher has made an attempt to conduct an in-depth analysis on Fan-Long Ko’s musical works, i.e. his large-scale Taiwanese Choral works (with orchestral accompaniment) entitled “Dream of Year 2000” and “228 Requiem”. Specifically, the researcher has focused on the corresponding relationships between lyrics and music in terms of prosody, meaning, and the morphological structure of words and phrases of the lyrics. The aim of this dissertation research is twofold: First, to provide some analytical insights for those who intend to conduct research on Taiwanese choral works. Second, to promote the depth and artistic quality of Taiwanese choral works, further leadling to the internationalization and artistic refinements of Taiwanese compositional works.
