Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 幼兒與家庭教育學系碩士班 === 102 === The purpose of this study was to understand the current status of Taipei city children’s participation in leisure sports activities and to investigate how the factors in consideration and the source of information were affected by different variables when choosing an activity. This study analyzed and described how Taipei City parent currently choose leisure sport activities for their children, discuss the deciding factors and source of information, and provide recommendations based on the findings. This study focused on parents with children attending Taipei city municipal kindergarten senior year, approached them through questionnaires. The questionnaire included 4 sections: Children’s current participation in leisure sport activities, Factors in consideration while choosing leisure sport activities, Sources of information regarding children’s leisure activity, and the Parental personal information section. A total of 402 effective samples returned and the effective sample rate is 86.45%. Data was then analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one way ANOVA, and Fisher's least significant difference (LSD) procedure. Results: 1. Current attendance of leisure sports activities. The greatest response was “swimming” “once a week” during “weekday afternoons” continuing for “1~3 months” at a price of “300~500 NTDs” per class. 2. Factors for consideration while choosing an activity. The six factors, in order of importance, were: “Child’s Learning”, “Teacher’s Qualification and Teaching Resources”, “Classroom Environment and Equipment”, “Curriculum Design”, “Teacher’s Professionalism”, and “Business Strategy”. 3. Differences caused by different parental background in choosing an activity. Factors that affected the choice of activity includes: “Child’s Gender”, “Parent’s Gender”, “Sports Preference”, “Parental Sport Habit”, “Academic Background”, and “Monthly Household Income”. 4. Source of information. Source of information in order of importance were: “Commercial Sources”, “Personal Sources”, and “Public Sources”. 5. Affects of differences in background on the source of information. Source of information was affected by differences in “Parent’s Gender”, “Age”, “Sports Preference”, “Parental Workout Habits”, “and “Monthly Household Income”
