An action research methodology was adopted in this study to explore the revision and reflection of teachers throughout the whole teaching period in terms of using the optional Mandarin Daily News text as teaching material. A "teacher-made literacy test", "teacher-made literacy fluency test", and "records of the interviews" were used to collect data. Overall, the results found in this study were as follows: 1.The involvement of newspaper in education program can enhance and expand the life experience of the student with dyslexia. 2.The involvement of newspaper in education program raises the motivation and interest for reading and learning of the student with dyslexia. 3.The involvement of newspaper in education program increases the student’s word recognition ability. 4.The involvement of newspaper in education program has no significant effect in improving the student’s word writing ability. 5.The researcher’s reflection and self-development in the aspects of "research itself", "teaching strategies" and "teaching programs" were presented.
