And then we compare the differences between variables from diverse backgrounds. Finally, analyze the correlation and predictive power of the teacher’s emotional management and occupational stress. This research adopts questionnaire survey and the participants in this study were the current elementary school teachers in Penghu County. Using random sampling method, we extract 32 schools and 434 teachers as subjects. There are 398 response questionnaires and 382 valid questionnaires while 91.7% response rate and 88% valid rate respectively. We execute the analysis of survey data by using the methods such as descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, independent sample one way ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results of the research are as follows: 1.The emotional management of the elementary school teachers in Penghu County was good. Reported highest satisfaction in the category “emotional awareness,” and least in the category “emotional adjustment”. 2.The occupational stress of the elementary school teachers in Penghu County was moderate. Reported highest levels of perceived stress in the category “workload,” and least in the category “interpersonal”. 3.The emotional adjustment of male teachers was better than female. 4.The teachers who hold concurrent posts as director or section chief were better on the overall emotional management than class teacher and academic teacher. Besides, the teachers who hold concurrent posts as director or section chief were also better on the emotional expression and emotional adjustment than class teacher. 5.There were no significant differences between the teachers with different years of service and marital status in the overall perception of emotional management and occupational stress. 6.The emotional awareness of the teachers from islands areas school was better than the teachers from remote areas. The teachers from Magong City were significantly higher than from remote areas and islands areas on the stress levels of “overall level”, “workload pressure”, “supervisor pressure” and “interpersonal relationship”. 7.The teachers from big school were higher than from small school on the overall of occupational stress and “workload pressure”, “supervisor pressure” and “interpersonal relationship”. 8.There was low negative correlation between the emotional management and occupational stress of the elementary school teachers in Penghu County 9.The elementary school teachers in Penghu County have predictive power on emotional management to overall occupational stress and all levels. The better emotional management they have, the lower occupational stress they get.
