The salinity of soil in Penghu is abundant, so it is a nice place to grow plants. The wind is violent and thus we must be humble to accept what nature brings to us. People who are from Penghu are persistent and optimistic to enjoy daily life. Therefore, choosing the topic of the landscape art is the way to focus on the environment where we grew up, and works indulge in nature. The key point of the dissertation is to induce artists who made use of environment as creative conception and types to show inner self for concluding techniques and forms of Installation Art in the chapter of literature review. Works relate to local characteristic and posibilities of local creation. The chapter one, Introduction, illustrates general background information, research motive, research purpose, reserach method and definition to make the following research more clearly. The chapter two is based on the Theory of Creation. The main point of art concentrates on the relationship between human being and nature through artists’ understanding of nature, technique of expression in landscape art, and Taiwanese artists’ concern for nature. These reasons provide artists’ imagination of art, and also review special custom and landscape in Penghu from local historical background. The following chapter, Creative Expression, is to review artists’ ideas of the spatio-temporal background from the discourse of creative conception, types and material. The next chapter, Creation in practice, focuses on analysis of ideas and implementation of works. Finally, Conclusion is to show and review that works fit the original conception or not.
