Therefore, this study conducted an experimental lecturing focusing on the introduction of the designers and their works, and recruiting one teacher and 12 students grouped into 3. An augmented reality was applied into the lecturing, which enables the presentation of 3D shape of these design particularly works and is easy to control and browse. A post-interview survey to the teacher and the students to explore their comments to the system and the lecturing, as well as the influence of using such a system in design history lecturing. The analysis results indicates that the AR influences the lecturing in the area of to improve the learning motivation, to keep the students’ attention, to play as the assisted teaching materials, and to provide a more integrated picture including the general shape as well as the details of a design work. Moreover, to the applicability of AR in design history lecturing, the study suggests that the AR could provide more assistance in the design work with more complex structure, and it is more convenient and better for learning by providing each design works two marked at least, making the overall shape if a design work being able to be present in AR system.
