Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育學系(所) === 102 === This study aims to the current state of indigenous langauge teaching in indigenous elementary schools. The main purposes of this study are as follows. 1. To understand the attitude of the indigenous language teachers toward the execution of indigenous language teaching. 2. To understand the situation of the implementation of the indigenous language teaching in indigenous elementary schools in Pingtung. 3. To understand the difficulties of indigenous lanauge teaching in indigenous elementary schools. In order to understand the reasons, the study uses questionnaire survey, for the 31 indigenous language teachers in indigenous elementary schools, as the main method.While composing the interview outlines, choosing 5 teachers randomly for interviewing, and then analyze and discuss the results . According to the analyse and result, the conclusions are as below. 1. The current situation of indigenous language teaching in indigenous elementary schools in Pingtung county. (1) Lack of indigenous language teachers of regular organization in indigenous elementary schools . (2) Many difficulties in execution of indigenous language teaching . (3) The probability of using technology or media is low. (4) Indigenous language teachers try hard to foster the effect of indigenous language teaching. 2. The ideas from indigenous language teachers in indigenous schools in Pingtung county. (1) The lack of teaching hours. (2) The expenses of teaching materials or educational materials (3) No specialized classrooms or personal office desks (4) Parents refuse to cooperate or they can not speak indigenous languages (5) Indigenous language teachers should have accomplishment of general capacity of educational acquaintance . (6) Many problems in textbooks published by Ministry of Education 3.The cognition of the indigenous language competence indicators of indigenous language teachers in indigenous elementary schools in Pingtung county. (1) Difficulties in decoding the competence indicators 4. The situation of implementation of the indigenous language competence indicators in indigenous elementary schools in Pingtung county.. (1) While teaching or composing teaching materials, the reference of the indigenous language competence indicators is at low degree . (2) The approaches of the competence indicators is at low degree. (3)Indigenous language teachers have no strategies for the indigenous language competence indicators which is not revealed in textbooks . Based on the results above, researcher raise suggestions to educational administrative authorities , indigenous elementary schools, indigenous language teachers and future research.
