Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 102 === With easy deployment of wireless mesh networks (WMNs), WMNs have become very popular recently. Through technique of wireless access, users are able to proceed with internet access within the range of wireless communication, while it makes operating costs lower and network-installation time less. Routing strategy of WMNs is one of important issues of multi-hop networks. With network congestion, it leads to packets discarded and latency increased, resulting in a significant degradation of network performance. This thesis proposes a balanced routing strategy for wireless mesh networks. Rational routing and designated routing operations are employed to distribute traffic evenly. Except for the total traffic originating at only one node, the proposed strategy can distribute the traffic evenly to the gateway. The simulation results show that no bottlenecks exist in the wireless mesh networks such that the proposed routing strategy improves the network performance.
