Method: a retrospective cohort study method: analysis patients with international disease code (ICD-9) 715.16 from 2007 to 2011 in an area south of the teaching hospital. 2. Cross-sectional study method: by the patients, according to treatment in different ways, screened 600 patients for telephone interviews. Results: The retrospective case study showed that, regardless of whether or not paired sampling, drug therapy and machine (95% CI> 1) or drugs, machine and exercise therapy (95% CI> 1) in comparison with the drug group have more invasive treatment of high-risk, but if the result is an annual data analysis for drug -invasive treatment group ratio increased ( 6.93% rising to 16.79% ) . However, if the results of a questionnair, a hospital patient consciously achieve treatment goals , poor in the drug group. Discussion: When paired sample, after the age of variables under control, data analysis showed no significant difference between the three groups prognosis. For patients aged speculated accepted invasive treatment purposes, is an important factor. In the survey results show that physical therapy for patients with good acceptance. In addition, because this study uses only the information in a hospital, it is not representative. Conclusion: Southern Regional Teaching Hospital suffering from the knee osteoarthritis patient ratio, can be seen in the annual information have a declining trend. The decline of populations concentrated in the drug group, and at the same time the ratio of drugs and physical therapy have an increasing trend. But there is not the kind of results after the patient data series. For physicians may need knee osteoarthritis patients at different prescriptions of the reasons why impose, and why the drug group had disappeared every year, undertake a survey to further determine the cause of this result. Suggestions : (1) physical therapy for patients who have a more favorable acceptance , may be put into clinical development . 2 Use the NHI database for research , the data representative outside the patient 's data series will be more complete .
