碩士 === 國立高雄大學 === 高階經營管理碩士在職專班(EMBA) === 102 === With the impact of decreasing birth rate and the challenges of education on the free market economy, the operation of elementary school currently has been increasingly a multi-dimensional issue that involves innovative strategies. The factors that influence the determination of parents on choosing a relevant school for their children are not only simply the location and convenient shuttle, but also the service quality of teaching and administration and the use of information and communication technology (ICT). Consequently, in order to avoid being cut on budget, merged, and/or even closed, one of the objectives that school are achieving is how to attract parents' attention to choose them. The thesis conducts an empirical study that develops and examines the effect of service quality and ICT use on the parents' satisfaction for the Z case elementary school, Kaohsiung. The population is set to be the Z school students' parents. A salient examination is the moderating effect of gender and job type on the relationships between independent variables and parents' satisfaction. Based on the 249 valid samples, research findings revealed that (1) service quality has a significant positive impact on parents' satisfaction, (2) the use of ICT is significantly related to parents' satisfaction, and (3) Gender and job type show no moderating effects. Implications and suggestions are also addressed.
