This study aims to study the difference of extraction of the components in cinnamomum camphora wood by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction and by organic solvent extraction. Compounds extracted from these two methods were analyzed by GC. In organic solvent extraction, we found that the best extraction condition was at 50℃, 85v/v% solvent concentration, with 50 ml acetone as the solvent, and 3 day of mixing time. The specific extraction ratio was 93.3(mg/g) from the cinnamomum camphora wood and the extraction yield was 9.330%. In the supercritical carbon dioxide extraction, the extraction time, temperature, and modifier ratio in the stagnant extraction were evaluated. We found that the best condition of supercritical carbon dioxide extraction is at 60℃, 10.0MPa, using ethanol as the modifier (w/v, g/mL 5:250) and 180min of mixing time in supercritical CO2. The specific extraction ratio was 76.12 (mg/g) in the cinnamomum camphora wood and the extraction yield was 7.612%. Keywords:Supercritical carbon dioxide;Organic solvent;Cinnamomum camphora
