He is now dedicated to the education and development of chenille stems art. Chenille stem is a widely available and affordable art medium, often seen in children''s art classes. The basic form is developed from piling nylon wool onto two pieces of wires crossed in the form of an "X". In the past two years, Chun-Kim Chen (陳春金) has created over 80 pieces of chenille stem works of a substantial scale. The Renaissance artist-architect, Giorgio Vasari (瓦撒利) (1511-1574), once said that design is the foundation of all the visual arts. Within the limitation of 30cm in a chenille stem, Chun-Kim Chen (陳春金) developed four basic chenille stem folding techniques and expanded his creative works from these four foundation forms that are characteristic of his unique style. He brings the creative art of chenille stems to the local community with a philosophy of sharing the fun and happiness in the creative process. Paul Rand (保羅‧蘭德) (1914-1996) said, "The process of designing is from complexity to simplicity." And Chun-Kim Chen (陳春金) has lived this philosophy. Currently, there have not been any studies on chenille stems art in Taiwan. This article will be the first master degree thesis on the medium of chenille stems. This study aims to explore the creative patterns of Chun-Kim Chen (陳春金) from the qualities of a Naive Artist proposed by Jen-Ming Su (蘇振明) in 1997, as well as his creative environment and motives through a brief field study. We will also analyze and discuss the qualities of Chun-Kim Chen (陳春金)''s chenille stems art and artworks based on the Style Characteristics System Chart of the Qualities of Naive Art. The analysis from the perspective of Naive Art is focused on the qualities of Chun-Kim Chen (陳春金) as a Naive Artist. The purpose of this study is to verify the status of an artist with the features of Naive Art and her works in order to further understand and investigate her background for the building of the artist archive. The three goals of this study are as follow: 1. Construct the chronology and image archives of Chun-Kim Chen (陳春金)’s works through interviews 2. Analyze the themes and styles of Chun-Kim Chen’s Chenille Stems Art 3. Explore her mental and physical conditions and the impact of social interactions after engaging in Chenille Stems Art creation Through the theories of Naive Art proposed by Jen-Ming Su (蘇振明), this study supported economist Bruno Frey (布魯諾‧佛瑞)''s study on artists'' motivations (1997). He concluded that Artists, as compared to non-artists, have a higher drive of personal motivation to creativity. From this viewpoint, we made an attempt to point out the meaning of Chun-Kim Chen (陳春金)''s chenille stems art in the context of Naive Art and its significance to the development of contemporary arts. We found that Chun-Kim Chen (陳春金) expands his creativity into infinite possibility, starting from the basic folding techniques developed by him, through which he put his ideology," Everyone can be an artist" into practice. We also studied the value of chenille stems art in the perspectives of community art education, children''s art, and art therapy, and made recommendations for follow-up studies. We expect that chenille stems art will be used in a wide range of artistic expressions and Chun-Kim Chen (陳春金)''s philosophies, "Art can be an heirloom; the joy of making art can be shared" (2010), will be more valuable as a reference and as a model for art practice. 朱文浩 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 127 zh-TW
