Description
Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 食品營養學系 === 102 === The trend of child obesity has increased in recent years, increase of food intake and decrease of exercise caused by environment may be an important factor in causing child obesity. In this study, stratified random sampling was used, targeting the parents of fifth and sixth graders in 18 municipal elementary schools. Total of 502 parent were participated and finished the questionnaire. The questionnaire contains demographic data, measurement of neighborhood food environment and physical activity environment, physical activity knowledge, attitude and behavior scale. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between home eating, physical activity environment and BMI among elementary school students. The results showed that the percentage of underweight BMI among students was 10.6% (n=53), normal BMI was 66.9% (n=336), overweight was 11.6% (n=58), obesity was 11.0% (n=55). The BMI of father (r=0.148, p=0.002), mother (r=0.195, p<0.001), main caregiver (r=0.227, p<0.001) was significant positively correlated with the BMI of children, indicating the lower BMI parents had, the lower BMI, children would have. Behavior at home was no difference by weight normal and abnormal. There was no difference significant by children diet and physical activity behavior. There was a significant negative correlation between children BMI and physical activity behavior (r=-0.093, p=0.037). ANGELO mode of environmental factors in the attitude of parents and students to explore the behavior of the correlation, the results showed that both the physical (r=0.236, p<0.001), political (r=0.197, p<0.001), social-economic (r=0.100, p<0.001), the parents attitude and behavior of school children showed significant correlation. There was a positive correlation between parents diet and physical activity attitude with children diet and physical activity behavior. In diet and physical activities environment, consumer behaviors of parents show in body fat easily (r=0.478,p<0.001) and difficult (r=0.349,p<0.001)environment has a significant positive correlation between children consumer behaviors. Situation of parents use activity environmental situation also showed a significant positive correlation (r=0.621,p<0.001)with using behaviors of children. Therefore, it can be seen the behavior of the parents will affect the children. In summary, childhood obesity will be affected by home physical fitness activities and neighborhood food environment. Therefore, in the future, by enhancing physical fitness activities agreed by parents and strengthening the correct selection of the nearby neighborhood food environment, it should help children maintain a healthy body position, and reduce the risk of childhood obesity.
