Through this study, we observe the influence of the students' use of FB on the parent-child relationship and we try to realize if the parents' joining in children's FB strengthens the parent-child relationship in order to help parents to use FB to communicate with their children. We perform this study on the fifth and sixth graders in elementary school of Taichung city under a questionnaire analysis. With 357 effective samples, we check the five variables of using FB and how the parent-child interaction on FB relates to the parent-child relationship under multiple regression analysis. The result shows the negative relation between the children's use of FB and parent-child relationship. The amount of time of using FB obviously negatively affects the parent-child relationship. However,chatting on FB and sharing details in life obviously positively affects the parent-child relationship. The parents' join in children's FB and their interaction on FB can strengthen the parent-child relationship. Besides, the grades and genders of students affect the parent-child relationship negatively. Finally,according to the results we give advices to parents, students and future researchers.
