Online auctions combine traditional trading patterns and emerging technologies, which create new auction patterns. We can bid auction at any time, any places, with any device. The auction web sites become new transaction spaces. In this study, we research on "Ruten" and "Taobao" auction web sites. We use “business model canvas” as a graphical tool to draw nine elements of "Ruten" and "Taobao" business model. We focus on the comparison of the third-party payment function, and safety management of Customer Relationships on "Ruten" and "Taobao" for finding their innovation and competitive advantage. The result shows that the third-party payment services and security management still need to be improved on both "Ruten" and "Taobao" websites. The findings of this study may provide a strategy guide reference to the business communities.
