We find a highly positive correlation between trading tools and trading purposes and lowly positive correlation between trading tools and gender or education levels through contingency table analyses. After controlling gender, occupation, education level, trading amount, and some related variables, our ordered choice regression results show that customers choosing high-cost trading tool to execute more complex transaction.
