The third-party payment transaction model is evolving with credit transaction problems. It not only provides a convenient and reliable transaction model, but also stimulates e-commerce progress and even boosts transaction volume in internet banking. In recent years, the banking industry has been participating in third-party network transactions. In terms of system building and business strategy, banks are coordinating with the third-party payment processors. Based on the viewpoints of bank, the study revealed the future impacts which the third-party payment services put on banking industry, and to examine the advantages and disadvantages, potential problems, as well as a suitable model for collection and payment transfer in banking industry. Besides, this study summarized the strategies that banking industry should take when confronted with the competitive third-party network transactions. Finally, Bank A has been chosen as study case and conducted in-depth interview with experts who could help researcher to provide visions toward third-party payment prospects. According to the results, the study described the coopetitive and reactive strategies between the dual parties, and proposed some suggestions for practitioners and further research.
