| Summary: | 碩士 === 世新大學 === 行政管理學研究所(含博、碩專班) === 102 === This study aimed to investigate the factors that influence political participation of young people, that attempt to observe in gender, elections level, party nomination, election areas and election system. First, use of descriptive statistical methods to examine the level of each variable in the election and elected. Second, with the cross-analysis between independent variables and the dependent variable test whether there is a significant correlation, and use of the way in control variable to examine the moderation. Finally, use of logistic regression analysis to examine the independent variable for whether there is a significant relationship between the dependent variable.
The statistical analysis of the data is undertaken by SPSS18.0. The study proffers suggestions according to research results. Major research results are as follows:
1. The first election of young people.
(1) With respect to the local level elections, the fewer young candidates for the first election on the central level elections.
(2) With respect to non-party membership and other party membership, the KMT and DPP young people are less likely to nominated for the first election.
2. To be elected of young people.
(1) With respect to young women candidates, the lower elected chance to young men candidates.
(2) With respect to non-party membership and other party membership, the higher elected chance by the KMT and the DPP youth candidates nominated.
(3) With respect to young candidates in other election areas, the lower elected chance in Taipei, New Taipei, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung.
(4) With respect to young candidates in the single-member district and two-vote system, the higher elected chance in SNTV system.
3. The first election and elected of young people.
(1) With respect to non-party membership and other party membership, the higher first election and elected by the KMT and the DPP youth candidates nominated.
(2) With respect to the first election and elected of young people in other election areas, the lower elected chance in Taipei, New Taipei, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung.
(3) With respect to the first election and elected of young people in the single-member district and two-vote system, the higher elected chance in SNTV system.
