Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 行政管理學研究所(含博、碩專班) === 102 === The objectives of this study are to explore the relationship between the leadership style and the employee’s organizational citizenship behavior of the Coast Guard Administration (CGA), to analyze the difference in leadership style and the employee’s organizational citizenship behavior with varied personal background variables, and to further explore the inter relationship between the leadership style and the organizational citizenship behavior. The regression analysis was also employed to understand the impact of the leadership style on the organizational citizenship behavior. The method of questionnaire survey was employed and quantitative research was adopted in this study, with the empirical data set drawn from the Coast Guard Administration personnel. There were 230 questionnaires issued and all were collected. Among those 230 returned questionnaires, 7 were invalid and accounting for 96.9% valid rate of response. The questionnaires thus obtained were later analyzed using descriptive statistics, one way ANOVA, Pearson product moment correlation, and regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The CGA personnel with varied personal background such as sex are exhibit significant difference in the leadership style. 2. The CGA personnel with varied personal background such as sex, marriage status, education, length of service, and the business series reveal significant difference in the organizational citizenship behavior. 3. As a whole, the survey results are above the average. Among those variables under study, the organizational citizenship behavior has the better output along with the secondary one of the leadership style. 4. The leadership style exerts positive influence over the organizational citizenship behavior. Finally, recommendations are made according to major findings of the study in order to not only provide practical guides to coast guard but also serve as a useful reference for those who are interested in the similar topic.
