The purpose of this study is to explore the both impact on upper-grade elementary school students’ money attitude and their consumption behaviors, since the implementation of financial education in the nine-year compulsory education in 2011. This study used a self-designed questionnaire, “study of financial education for Upper-Grade Elementary School Students’ Money attitudes and consumer behavior" as the data collection tool. A total of 558 valid samples were collected from Elementary School Upper-Grade Students in Kaohsiung City. According to the results of the questionnaire respondents, descriptive statistics, single factor ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation analysis and regression statistical analysis were used to conduct data analysis. The result shows that: First, elementary school upper-grade students with different backgrounds has no significant difference on money attitude; elementary school upper-grade students with different backgrounds has a significant difference between consumption behavior and financial education; It shows that financial education within school and family has a significant influence on money attitude and consumption behavior of elementary school upper-grade students. Secondary, financial education for children is positive correlated with money attitude, money attitude is positive correlated with consumption behavior, consumption behavior is positive correlated with money attitude, whereas financial education for children is negative correlated with consumption behavior. Money attitude, consumption behavior and financial education are closely related. Therefore, students must have the right attitudes towards money and equipped with relevant financial knowledge to act the correct consumption behavior. Financial education plays a key role.
