Playing badminton can help improve physical fitness, relax and alleviate pressure, improve interpersonal relationships and achieve self-actualization. Therefore, the present study aims to explore the levels of specialization, benefits of leisure, and well-being perceived by badminton players, the differences of demographic background on these variables, and the relationships between and among these three variables. The subjects recruited are badminton players at private badminton centers near Tainan City, including the Ai Jie Badminton Center, Huazhong Badminton Center, Tainan City Badminton Center, Smooth Badminton Center, Chao Qiang Badminton Center, and Bohong Badminton Center. A survey research using convenience sampling method was conducted and resulted in 475 effective questionnaires. The data collected were analyzed by item analysis, descriptive analysis, factor analysis, T-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. The results are as follows: 1. Badminton players’ levels of specialization significantly different depending on their demographic backgrounds; 2. Badminton players with different demographic backgrounds only showed partial significant differences in terms of leisure benefits and well-being; 3. Badminton players’ specialization were significant predictors of leisure benefits and well-being with self-actualization the best predictor; and 4. Badminton players’ leisure benefits were significant predictor of well-being with psychological benefit the best predictor. 陳慧玲 103 學位論文 ; thesis 153 zh-TW
