Summary:碩士 === 大仁科技大學 === 環境管理研究所 === 102 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of sixth grade students’ cognition and behavior of domestic water in Pingtung County, to investigate the different personal backgrounds, including studying regional, school size, gender, family social-economic status, etc., to explore the county sixth-grade students’ correlation of domestic water cognition and behavior. This study utilized the methodology of questionnaires and used self-made questionnaire as research instrument. Moreover, stratified randomized sampling was used to select 650 students from 27 classes in 27 schools as the subjects. A 586 effective samples with 90.0% recovery rate was performed. After compilation of all the data, SPSS12.0 was used to perform descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample T test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient analysis. The research results were summarized as follows: the main source of water knowledge were school advocacy, followed by teaching and television broadcasting; the main source of schoolchildren’ drinking water, were the tap water, followed by water stations, and groundwater; The cognition of domestic water among those schoolchildren was above middle level, their behavior to domestic water tended to positive; the schoolchildren’ cognition of domestic water was affected by studying regional, gender ; while behavior of domestic water affected by school size. The schoolchildren’ cognition of domestic water and behavior were significantly low positive related correlated. Based on the conclusions above, this study proposed the following suggestions on teachers and governmental units: teachers should actively participate to design in environmental education curriculum of water resources and supervise schoolchildren’ behavior in domestic water; the educational authority should inject more fund and make teaching media to establish the correct cognition of domestic water.
