Summary:碩士 === 亞洲大學 === 財務金融學系 === 102 === With the rise of the internet economies, all countries have focused on developing their e-business to gain better access to the global market. The online shopping market, a virtual and physical closely integrated market, is also expected to become even more intensively competitive in the future. In view of the advantages of low cost and wide-spread marketing effect provided by E-commerce, Taiwan's SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) have accelerated their e-business development, and the government is also actively engaged in enacting e-commerce policy and relevant legal reforms. To help Taiwan SMEs to develop their businesses through e-commerce, Taiwan government tries to play a more active role in promoting the e-commerce environment and its policy making. This article tries to review and explore Taiwan’s current development status of the e-commerce and its relevant policies governed by the rules of the law. The paper aims to find the right way to cope with future challenges for Taiwan SMEs.
