A random sampling in Nantou vocational school with a total of 16 mild mental retardation students aged from 15 to 17 were recruited. By means of random assignment subjects were devided into the experimental and control group with each 8 members. All participants were examined with health related physical fitness before and after the training. Taking Tsai’s (2009) research which participants were amblyopia students as secondary data into comparison, the analysis was conducted by paired samples t-test as well as dependent samples t-test. The results showed that there was significant difference (p<.05) in health related physical fitness. The results were as follows: (1) Paired samples t-test was applied to analyze both researches. It indicated there is a significant improvement in aerobic capacity and muscular fitness of physical fitness in mental retardation experimental group. In contrast, there is a significant improvement in aerobic capacity and flexibility in amblyopia experimental group. (2) Dependent samples t-test showed that mild mental retardation students in experimental group have improved their aerobic capacity and muscular fitness, while amblyopia students have improved their flexibility and aerobic capacity. In conclusion, Rope jumping training had significant effect on improving muscular fitness, aerobic capacity and flexibility. Chen, Chao-Chien Tang, Ta-Wei 陳朝鍵 湯大緯 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 87 zh-TW
