Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 服務與科技管理研究所 === 102 === Shale oil and shale gas had been well known for several decades. Because exploitation technology was immature and mining cost was too high, it hadn’t been commercialized successfully. With the breakthrough of exploration technology, U.S. shale oil and gas production gradually increased and drew the global attention. CPC was used for patent analysis in this study. Priority data was useful for the patent portfolio analysis. We observed the patent application strategy of each individual CPC field. Technology derived from shale oil and shale gas was evaluated. The results showed that the shale oil and gas fields did not dominated by individual company. Each company had opportunities to enter the oil shale industry through it technology. Provisional application was the commonly used tool for patent application. Followed by transforming provisional application to formal applications. Nineteen CPC were identified in this study. The leading company in each CPC field was different. In fact, US companies were the dominated force in the patent filed. Technology improvement was the key development, instead of jumping technologies.
