Description
Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 工程管理碩士在職專班 === 102 === Ready-mixed concrete (RMC) is widely used in both private building construction and public works nowadays. The concrete quality of RMC has direct influence on the structural strength, durability, and thus affect the safety and longevity of structures. Therefore, a contractor will ask RMC supplier, not only to compliance with quality specification, but also to offer cheaper price. Moreover, RMC supplier is responsible for the overall safety of buildings. However, in the engineering materials procurement, "price" tends to be the major determinant factor in winning a contract. "Product quality" and "follow-up services", which are valued elements to construction unit, are neglected. The aim of this study is to identify the selection factors when project owners choose the RMC supplier. The relevance among selection criteria such as price, quality, and service are also explored. In this study, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) along with the expert survey were used to investigate the relative weights of selection factors in different regions. The findings of this research can be used as reference for RMC industry decision-making in different regions.
