Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 生物工程學系(所) === 102 === This study is to investigate the oil crisis and development of biomass plastic, Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) market with commercial value. PHA is a kind of biodegradable, biocompatible polymer and it can be used to replace the widely used plastic materials. Due to its biocompatibility, it can be used for applications of biomaterials and tissue engineering materials.According to the experimental results of past use of Bacillus produce PHA, the estimated production cost of PHA products were analyzed and compared, and to further discuss the status and future of PHA industry. Cost Economic Assessment obtain PHA required approximately 2.8 tons annual US$0.45/g, and sold with the market, compared with the general price of medical polymer materials, then competitive. PHA biodegradable plastic and fiber material use biomass fermentation, but do not rely on petrochemical sources, and its industrial production is of commercial value. Polymer materials have been widely used, and the development of disposable medical devices and implantable biomaterials for improving human health have a significant contribution. PHA of this study has a high commercial value.
