Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 機械工程學系(所) === 102 === COMSOL, a multiple physical quantities coupled numerical analysis software, is adopted in the acoustical analysis in the thesis. The primary purpose of the research is to assess the acoustical performance of the original discharge muffler of a reciprocating compressor. And then, propose a new design of the muffler in reducing the noise emitted from the compressor. The thesis includes three parts: (1) An assessment of the acoustical performance of the original discharge muffler. The acoustical effect of the internal extended tube will be explored. (2) A new design by adding some new acoustical elements such as a resonator and a perforated tube into the discharge muffler or connecting an external chamber to the discharge muffler and exploring the related acoustical influence. (3) A best allocation of the interior extended tube will be explored by using the artificial neural network in conjunction with the GA optimizer. Consequently, the discharge muffler is designed and improved using the COMSOL and the optimal process. With this, the discharge muffler’s competition in market will be largely promoted.
