In an era full of dazzling sensational excitement and various free speech, we are unawarely wandering in the endless loop of a mode of richness and a mode in liability; we are embedded in a state of confusion. People cannot, however, abandon the desire of belonging to the group. In order to achieve a sense of group recognition, usually we are constraint by the value of others: we chase the trend, and we imitate blindly. Our jedgement is therefore blindfolded; our thought is unwillingly sidetracked. One may even cross the bottom line of ration, move closer toward biased thought or behavior, and let fear, withdrawl, and distrust infiltrate into one’s mind, leading to a state of alienation and discorder. In this creation, by constructing the image and abstract form, I intend to dissect the selfness of such a phenomenon under the circumstance to express our true inner reality. Since one’s “self” always needs a long time to accumulate the experience and to comprehend the lessons of life, after that, one can gradually morphs into a state which can be reasonably called “mature”. Through the creation, I try to establish a link to the world of self-experience by analyzing the mood transition in personal life and social experience. I try to explore the necessity of mental relief in the world of mind through the creation. I hope to rectify the discordered deep memory, recollect the fragmented self-recognition, and reconstruct the selfness. During the creating process through the concurrent examination and dialogue with my inner self, I hope to eliminate the hesitation and uncertainty, establish the self-value, and accumulate the energy in pursuit of spiritual self-promotion. The research structure of this thesis is as follows: Chapter1 Introduction. In this chapter, the reasons and goals for writing the thesis, the research methods and range, research structure and terms explanation will be introduced. Chapter2 Through studying the evolution of colorful ink painting and eastern aesthetics and painting theory to review individual life aesthetics. Probing into the origin and symbolic significance of traditional Chinese color and extending from personal mind to the existence of time and space for projection of life. Chapter3 This chapter will discuss the subconscious association induced by western abstract theory and Automatism. Besides, it will introduce some related art creators that influence individual creation, and analyze the philosophy manifested or conveyed and the extended meaning in their works. Chapter 4 Based on the statements on personal creation and life course, this chapter will analyze the image factors and painting technique procedure in order to explain the concept of work in various series. Chapter 5 Conclusion, which will summarize the comprehension about life and the overall spirit of creation learned in the experiment. This research hopes to highlight its value by combining the personal experience in free creation with the meaning of life aesthetics theory and era spirit showed in painting creation; gain affirmation and self-expectation through self-examination and introspection.
