Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 102 === With the older population growing rapidly, and the change of eating habit in modern society nowadays. The populations of having chronic health problems, such as cardiovascular disease, have been growing rapidly as well. Therefore, the rising treatment demand stimulates the potential of the market, and drives many medical device companies to invest in research and development in order to compete in this market. Besides research and development, companies in medical device industry often adopt merger and acquisition as a critical strategy to acquire important technology. However, the merger and acquisition is not always working, so in order to reduce the risk of decision-making, evaluation and analysis in advance will be particularly important. Therefore, this study uses patent co-citation approach to analyze and divide the cardiovascular stent market into more precise technology areas, then select one particular technology area (expansion technologies of stent) and use patent indicators to conduct a more in-depth study in order to observe the patent technical knowledge relationships, knowledge redundancy degree, and the relative position between major companies in the particular technology area. This study expects to help enterprises reduce decision risk through scientific methods.
