This study, based on the quality assurance department of a large-scale enterprise, adopted internal customers’ point of view to discuss and analyze the status quo of communication between the quality assurance department and other departments, as well as the possible reasons causing poor communication. This study conducted an analysis of relevant questions, to find out solutions to improve quality assurance department’s dilemma on interdepartmental communication. In this study, the method of semi-structured in-depth interviews to gather information and conduct interviews for inductive analysis. The results showed that, first, the case company quality assurance department and their internal customer department (including: production department, research and development department) have pointed out that there are still many improvements for interdepartmental communication, particularly in the parts of interdepartmental perception gap and interdepartmental coordination respectively. Secondly, the major factors influencing the effectiveness of interdepartmental communication can be divided into four directions, namely, organizational culture, organizational design, performance appraisal and reward system, as well as interpersonal communication.
