Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 102 === A sketch-based 3D face modeling system is proposed for aiding the design of comic virtual characters. The input of the system includes online strokes acquired form the user and a template 3D face model. The proposed system calculates and locates facial marks of the 3D face model to extract contours of facial features automatically, and matches the input strokes with the extracted facial contours to evaluate the parameters for deforming the input 3D face model to fit in the shape of the face features drawn by the user. Experimental results show that the proposed method obtains better deformed face models than that obtained by the method proposed by Jiang and Sun. Silhouette and facial contours can be calculated from the deformed model and output to user for supporting the design of comic characters.
