碩士 === 元智大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 102 === This teaching case is the branch of R&;D department. Their jobs include hardware development, automatic monitoring &; information systems development. In order to provide a lot amount of equipment support to all departments in the company, the status of equipment maintenance, the correctly operation of equipment and reduce maintenance cost have to under control. The teaching case uses the traditional way to manage the equipment maintenance process by paper work. But there are a lot of problems by management and cost control. Therefore, managers decided to build up a standardization of the equipment maintenance management. The focus of this teaching case thesis is to describe the problems of the project of equipment maintenance management system development and the decision making. This thesis adopted Harvard writing style and consisted of two parts: a case discussion and a teacher reference manual. The teacher reference manual provides several Q&;A on the case, including software process model and information management system. All the discussion descriptions in the manual were analyzed based on the considered case in order to achieve the aim of combination of the academic theory and industrial practices.
