Recently, several countries have started promoting the idea of e-learning. In order to achieve information technology-applied instruction, under the implement of Grade 1-9 Curriculum, teachers in our country have improved their teaching methods by means of education through entertainment, making class activities more interesting, and further exerting a subtle influence on students’ learning by integrating information technology into instruction. Moreover, the user interface in current commercial animation production software is too complex for children to learn and operate. Besides, most of the children nowadays enjoy imagery and graphic thinking. Through the idea of tangible user interface, and referring to user interface design, interaction interface design and usability, the study develops an interactive animation design system. On the strength of the interest and easiness of animation, the system in the study enables children to have hands-on practice in making animation, through which they understand its concept, and further increases interaction, enabling users to interact more directly with the operating system. The result of the study shows that the system is easy to operate, interesting and easy to learn. Most people give high recognition to the system.
